One ticket gets you EVERYTHING!
"HOOK", the nickname that was given to Steve back in high school (can you guess why?)..and man, does he "KNOW".
When Covid hit in March of 2020, our Nitro Revival event was quickly cancelled, leaving us sitting at home trying to figure out what the heck he and I could do with our time.
The idea of my dad writing a book has long been thrown around, so it seemed like the perfect time for some storytelling...he has so many to tell.
The first dozen or so "Hook Knows!" live videos were just Steve, sitting in his office, telling his stories as, yours truly, sat on the other side of the camera. It didn't take us long to realize we needed to have some "off the cuff" conversations with our legendary friends.
There was no script, we just went 'live' on FB and winged it. Equipped with only a phone, a cheap tripod and some clip on microphones, we had our fair share of tech gremlins, but these live videos quickly gained popularity. As time marches on, these conversations become more and more priceless to us...we think you'll enjoy them too.
We will be uploading all of the "Hook Knows!" episodes in the coming weeks, but here are a few of our favorites to get you started. Please like, share and subscribe to our new YouTube channel, and help us continue to the Nitro Revival spirit.
Grab a snack, turn up the volume and take in a little drag racing history lesson with "HOOK KNOWS!"
A national treasure, "the Camfather" Ed Iskenderian sits down with us for a priceless conversation. Isky was just shy of his 101st birthday when we recorded this; we will celebrate his 104th next month. Incredible!
We are still heartbroken over the loss of our dear friend Rich Guasco, but thank God we had the chance to sit with Rich at the 2022 March Meet for one of our most popular "HOOK KNOWS" episodes.
One of the best storytellers you'll ever meet...and one of the very first drag racing LEGENDS. To say we enjoyed our time with "TV Tommy" Ivo would be an understatement.
Episode ONE of "HOOK KNOWS!"...it's fun to look back
...the storytelling continues!
